Social Work:
Utilizing culturally responsive, evidence-based approaches, I conduct trainings and provide consultation to mental health providers. I have extensive experience serving people managing Psychotic Spectrum Disorders including those dealing with problematic drug use, individuals with severe emotion regulation issues and self-harm behaviors, and communities impacted by incarceration. I have particular interest in working with the LBGTQ+ community with an emphasis on the transgender and nonbinary community and have a strong commitment to integrating intersectionality and anti-racism in all aspects of my clinical work and training.
I've worked as a provider of individual and group therapy, client advocacy, and clinical case management services for racially and economically diverse populations in settings such as non-profits, health care companies, prisons, and county agencies.
Community Activism:
I have roots in the world of nonviolent direct action and advocacy work with environmental and gender justice groups. I co-created a program to assist individuals with disabilities transition out of institutions that were breaking Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) law. I utilize my experience doing macro-level advocacy work to examine the way my client’s life is influenced by the institutions and environment around them, including the way their intersecting identities shape their experience in the world.
